Hungry for Music is very pleased to announce a very generous donation by the Vanguard Charitiable Endowment.
We are very grateful for this timely gift that will allow us to expand our outreach. Hungry for Music has supported our efforts for 15 years through benefit concerts, CD sales, membership/supporter donations, and raffles and we look forward to the opportunities that a grant award enables us to do. Our heartfelt thanks to the Vanguard Charitible Endowment Fund.
The first shipments for this year:
–>a trumpet for child in Alexandria, VA;
–>a violin and set of recorders to our long-time partners at the Casa Timateo orphanage of Sonora, Mexico;
–>six violins to an underfunded elementary school in Baltimore, MD; AND
–>a big shipment to Girl’s Rock & Roll Camp in Portland, Oregon. The girls get two electric guitars, two amps, and a bushel of new drumsticks.
